Where is Your Dog’s Favorite Relaxing Spots?
In the house? In the yard? Near you? Lucy tends to follow me around and places herself where she can watch what I am doing. In the kitchen, she lays on her mat. When I am on computer, she perches on the top of the dog crate (there is a bed there). On the couch, she is near my feet. When I sleep, she is nestled into my stomach area. Jessie tends to flop on the floor nearby or cuddles into a warm spot on the couch. They both really enjoy laying on a new microfleece blanket we have that throws the heat back onto them, no matter where it is placed. The presence of the blanket seems to trump the location where I am and the height of the sleeping perches. In the yard on sunny days, both dogs lay on the wood deck at the back, then come in to the garage to lay on the cool cement when they are hot.
